Stuart Calef

After much exploration, Stuart recognized that he had tremendous potential as a stylist. As a result, he studied cosmetology at the Gene Juarez Academy of Cosmetology in Seattle, and then worked for three years at a salon on Capitol Hill, where he advanced to manager while using the product line KMS doing the IBS Shows.

Knowing he wanted to be more independent, Stuart leased two salons in Belltown. The first was Salon Sanchez, where he worked for three years with a team of talented stylists. He then moved to Blue city Studio, where Stuart applied his talent in order to become the owner of the salon, which is now known as Studio 2602.

Located in the heart of Belltown, Studio 2602 has become known as one the top hair salons in Seattle. Under Stuart’s leadership for more than two years now, Stuart is very proud to say he has two wonderful stylists working with him, and the salon has succeeded in attracting a growing and extremely loyal clientele.

Stuart credits the success of Studio 2602 to the salon’s friendliness and welcoming warmth as well as to the expertise of the stylists. “People leave here looking great and feeling great because they have a good time being here,” explains Stuart.

Committed to continuing education and learning, Stuart’s Studio 2602 continues to innovate with new offerings. For instance, the salon is called a “studio” because it also houses an art gallery for up-and-coming artists.

Stuart specializes in color and is always on the hunt for just the right tone and feeling. He also continually seeks out to uncover what can give clients that “something extra that is uniquely theirs so that their hair reflects who they are.”
